Marske-by-a-Sea occurs as big village around East Cleveland, located in the borough of Redcar & Cleveland.

Marske-by-a-Sea is an old town, which was foremost noted within 697 by Hilda, a nun when Mersc (meaning marsh land). Sustaining the mention in the Domesday Book, and St Germains Church, which some believe date back swell prior to a Norman invasion of 1066. Marske has ii manors, Marske Hall, now the Cheshire Home and Cliff House. The Zetland Family lived in Marske Hall. Marske simply has of these museum, a recently re-opened Winkies Castle, which isn't the castle however the old petite home belonging to the late cobbler, Jack Anderson, it contains over 6,000 artifact.
Marske-by-a-Sea doesn't have a big total of holidaymaker, unlike Saltburn, yet it has much of houses & two or three businesses, + a Longbeck Industrial Estate.
Marske-by-a-Sea was visited by Charles Dickens to look at a hall's unusual turrets & to view Captain Cook's parent's graves, where it is located in St Germains Church's memorial park is now the mystery; but a select few imagine the two to exist as in the west section of it.
